2004–2010
The Flash era
PhotoBiz brought immersive Flash portfolio websites, animated galleries, and slideshows to photographers at a time when creating a polished, visual website usually required custom code.
2011–2015
The move to HTML5
As the web moved to phones and tablets, PhotoBiz transitioned from Flash portfolios to modern HTML5 experiences that made photography websites accessible across desktop and mobile devices.
2016
The platform connects the business
Integrated email marketing and landing pages arrived alongside drag-and-drop forms, contracts, signatures, commission-free form payments, a revamped blog builder, custom pages, and parallax FX banners.
2018
PhotoBiz 8 changes how pages are built
A completely block-based, responsive builder made pages more flexible. Ecommerce became available across the platform with zero commission fees, while proofing sales and Auto-SEO moved directly into the workflow.

A major leap in website speed
PhotoBiz introduced new performance technology designed to make photographers' websites load faster around the world, strengthening the platform's focus on speed and search visibility.
2020
Book, shoot, sell, all in one place
The growing platform connected the Scheduler, CRM, Email Marketing, forms, online store, and proofing. Bulk gallery downloads made client image delivery faster and easier.
2022
PhotoBiz 9 arrives, four times faster
The next-generation builder introduced a faster editing experience, a new slide-out workflow, nine new templates, stronger security, and the foundation for enhanced invoicing and Quotes.
2023
DuoBuild opens new design possibilities
Photographers could place nearly any two content blocks side by side while keeping layouts responsive on mobile. New proofing, full-event download, and digital-file selling options expanded the client experience.
2024
Twenty years, and the start of PhotoBiz AI
PhotoBiz celebrated two decades of serving photographers. PhotoBiz AI brought built-in assistance for website copy, blog content, and SEO metadata, while Client Galleries gained comparison, magnification, and package add-ons.
2025
AI, video, and faster creative workflows
One-click AI tools expanded to content, SEO metadata, and image alt text. Native short-video hosting, improved Scheduler controls, new layouts, and 20 new templates gave photographers more ways to create.
